Lost And Found of the Day: Peter Govaars recently stumbled upon the husk of a long lost digital camera on a beach in California, and managed to retrieve the photos from the memory card by cleaning its circuit board with isopropyl alcohol. He then uploaded the four-year-old pics to Flickr in hopes of finding the owner of the camera.
And, thanks to the power of the Net, find her he did: A Brownsville, Texas teen (above, second from left) was visiting relatives from Seaside who took her to see Santa Cruz, where she dropped the camera into the Pacific while photographing a sea lion by the wharf.
“The little girl who lost it…she’s totally stoked,” Govaars told the Santa Cruz Sentinel. “She’s telling all her friends on Facebook.”
